• Man charged with unlawful restraint in Oswego (wspynews.com) — Yorkville residents should know that Kendall County Jail in town is holding an Oswego man charged with unlawful restraint and obstructing a police officer after a reported domestic incident. Police say they forced entry into the home when screams were heard and then arrested the suspect, who now awaits a detention hearing in Yorkville.
   

• Parkview Christian girls basketball routs Plano, improves to 16-1: Thursday's Record Newspapers sports roundup (shawlocal.com) — Yorkville sports fans saw Parkview Christian’s girls roll to a 63-31 home win over Plano in Yorkville, improving to an impressive 16-1. Yorkville High School’s girls fell 53-29 to Plainfield North, while Oswego and Oswego East wrestlers turned in multiple pins in their crosstown matchup.
   

• Davis Backed Bill Improving Accountability Becomes Law (wjol.com) — Yorkville’s State Representative Jed Davis backed a new Illinois law now in effect that requires elected community college board members to take an oath to uphold the U.S. and Illinois constitutions. The measure, sponsored by Davis, brings community college trustees in line with other elected officials statewide and standardizes how and where these oaths are recorded.
