Student Finds Shell Casing At Grande Reserve Elementary: Police
Police and school district officials are investigating after the shell casing was found.
YORKVILLE, IL — Yorkville police are investigating after school officials at Grande Reserve Elementary School were informed at 8:30 a.m. Thursday that a sixth-grade student found a 9 mm shell casing on school property Wednesday, according to a release from Yorkville Police Department. According to the release, there hasn't been any evidence at this point in the investigation showing that a weapon was (or is) on school property, or that there's any threat to the safety of students and staff at the school.
Yorkville police and Yorkville CUSD 115 officials will continue investigating.
