No Threat To Students, Community At Yorkville Christian: Police

The threats were found in a student's locker, police said.

YORKVILLE, IL — Yorkville police say they've closed their investigation into a reported threat found in a student's locker at Yorkville Christian High School. A day after issuing a press release on the reported incident, police said they had confirmed "that there was no threat to students, faculty or the general public" in the incident and that the investigation is closed.

Yorkville police were dispatched to Yorkville Christian High School, 2001 Whitekirk Lane, Thursday morning after officials say "a series of unusual and potentially threatening messages" were found inside a student's locker. Police said the student in question was not on campus at the time of the discovery.

Police also said the student would not return to the school until the investigation was completed.

"The matter was brought to the attention of police by school officials, who are cooperating with the investigation," police said. "At no time was there a threat to the safety of students, faculty or the general public."
