Evansville-Vanderburgh School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Evansville-Vanderburgh is August 9. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 11/10: No School (Veterans' Day)
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/20: End of First Semester, End of 6-Week Grading Period (29 days), End of 9-Week Grading Period (47 days)
• 12/21 - 1/1: No School (Winter Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Recess)
• 1/2: No School for Students (Teacher Day)
• 1/3: First Day of Second Semester
• 1/15: No School (MLK Jr. Day)

February

• 2/9: End of 6-Week Grading Period (27 days)
• 2/19: No School (Presidents’ Day), Makeup Day

March

• 3/9: End of 9-Week Grading Period (46 days)
