Officers report the driver showed signs of impairment and now faces charges including criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, driving while intoxicated, and reckless driving.

Forward Andres Escudero led the Purple Aces with 11 goals, collected multiple Missouri Valley Conference honors, and finished among the top-scoring freshmen in the country, continuing Evansville’s strong run of award-winning first-year players.

4. 3 men accused of aiming guns at women while chasing them in car, police say (14news.com) — Evansville police say three young men were jailed after allegedly chasing two women in a car while pointing loaded guns at them early Sunday morning. Officers stopped a Dodge Charger near Adams and Washington, recovered three firearms, and arrested the suspects on stalking and intimidation charges. The women reported speeding and running stop signs to get away.

5. Norman Edward Winebarger, 68, of Albion (wfiwradio.com) — A 68-year-old Albion, Illinois man who previously lived in Grayville has died at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. Norman “Ed” Winebarger was a U.S. Army veteran, longtime truck driver, and animal lover. He is survived by his daughter, granddaughter, brother, and nephews, with private family services planned later.
