Here are the top three stories today in Indianapolis:
- The Indianapolis Office of Sustainability, also known as Sustain Indy, is hosting a free electronics recycling event at Krannert Park this Saturday, Apr. 23. The drive-through event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with workers on-site to direct traffic and remove items from vehicles. The state of Indiana's Electronic Waste law prohibits residents from discarding electronics in the trash. (WFYI)
- On Wednesday morning, an ambulance flipped on its side after crashing with a semi in downtown Indianapolis' south side. According to police, the ambulance went through a red light and did not have its lights on when it collided with the semi. A paramedic inside the ambulance suffered minor injuries, and the semi-driver was not injured. No patients were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. (CBS 4 Indianapolis)
- If you're looking up at Indianapolis' night sky, you'll be able to see four different planets through the end of April! From the southeast, Jupiter, Venus, Mars, and Saturn will all be visible just before sunrise. On Apr. 30 and May 1, Jupiter and Venus will pass one another in a phenomenon called near-planetary conjunction. (FOX 59 Indianapolis)
