Worth $370M, Indiana Fever 2nd most valuable women's team in the world (indystar.com) — Indianapolis fans can brag that the hometown Indiana Fever are now ranked the second most valuable women’s sports team in the world, valued at $370 million with $32 million in 2025 revenue. Forbes’ new list puts only the New York Liberty ahead of them, and it comes the same year Caitlin Clark ranked among the world’s highest-paid women athletes.
   

2. Indianapolis Motor Speedway showcases original crushed stone and tar racing surface (wishtv.com) — Indianapolis racing fans can now see a rare piece of history at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum: a section of the track’s original 1909 crushed stone and tar surface, uncovered during a Turn 2 repaving project. Crews found the remarkably well-preserved layer while fixing brick-related bumps, and IMS is sharing photos and online features to walk fans through the discovery.
   

3. Marijuana shift at federal level could impact Indiana CBD, hemp products (wrtv.com) — An Indianapolis hemp shop, The Health Club, could be directly affected as a new Trump executive order moves to reclassify marijuana and pushes Congress to revisit CBD and hemp rules. Local cannabis attorneys and Indiana’s attorney general are weighing in, warning the reclassification and any potential hemp ban may take years to resolve and could reshape how Hoosiers buy these products.
   

4. Indianapolis man sentenced to 6 years in prison for child solicitation (wishtv.com) — An Indianapolis man has been sentenced in Johnson County to six years in prison for child solicitation after a sting in Franklin involving an undercover detective posing as a 15-year-old girl. Prosecutors say his prior criminal history and probation status in Marion County weighed heavily in the sentence, and they hope it sends a strong warning to others targeting minors.
   

5. Lilly Endowment awards $77M for youth camp improvements (insideindianabusiness.com) — Indianapolis-based Lilly Endowment is sending more than $77 million to nearly 70 organizations, including major grants to youth camps and ministries headquartered in Indianapolis. The money will upgrade cabins, dining halls, recreation areas, chapels, and infrastructure at camps across Indiana and Chicago, with even larger phase 3 capital grants still available early next year.
