Local officials and Walmart associates surprise families with doorstep deliveries as part of festive promotional campaign
Indianapolis residents received an unexpected holiday surprise Monday morning when Councilor Michael-Paul Hart and Walmart associates visited holiday-themed streets throughout the city at sunrise, dropping off packages filled with Walmart Black Friday deals as part of their "WhoKnewVille" Grinch campaign.
The surprise deliveries featured exclusive Black Friday deals including Beats Solo4 Wireless Headphones ($79), FitRx Massager ($29.97), LEGO Minecraft The Crafting Table ($40), Women's ½ Ct. Lab-Grown Diamond Huggie Earrings ($98), and the K-Duo Coffee Maker ($79).
The promotional event marked the launch of Walmart's Black Friday Deals, which run through November 30. Indianapolis was selected as one of the communities to receive the early morning surprise deliveries.
The campaign created excitement and confusion in equal measure as residents on Christmas-themed streets like Tinsel Avenue woke up to find unexpected packages on their doorsteps.
