Here are the top three stories in Indianapolis today:
- If you're looking for fun Easter events to enjoy with your kids, Indy Parks has got you covered. Celebrations include the Cottontail Run at Krannert Park on Apr. 8, a free Easter Egg Hunt at Pride Park, and the Easter Egg-Stravaganza! at Ellenberger Park on Apr. 16. Participants must register for all events, even the free ones. (FOX 59 Indianapolis)
- A woman fatally struck a person while driving back from the airport in March. Court documents show that on Mar. 18, Michaela Voyles was weaving in and out of traffic erratically and ran over 59-year-old Carol Miller in the 7100 block of East Troy Avenue, resulting in her untimely death. The woman has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death or catastrophic injury; a bail review hearing is set for Wednesday. (CBS 4 Indianapolis)
- Student enrollment is open now through Jun. 6 for Indy Summer Learning Labs. The five-week program, aimed at boosting learning over the summer break, will accept roughly 5,000 students. The all-day program, created by The Mind Trust and United Way of Central Indiana, is largely funded by grants from the Indiana Department of Education. (WTHR)
