Here are the top three stories in Indianapolis today:

  1. The property owners of two southside apartment complexes are being held accountable after Citizens Energy threatened to shut off water service in February. City and state leaders came together on Wednesday to announce a lawsuit against Berkley Commons LLC and JPC Affordable Housing — the owners of Berkley Commons and Capital Place Apartments. The City of Indianapolis, the Indiana Attorney General's Office, and Citizens Energy are each filing separate lawsuits against the property owners, claiming they owe more than $1.3 million in past-due utility bills. (WTHR)
  2. A school on the far east side is inviting adults back to the classroom with a program tailored to giving people a second chance at a career. PLA University is a free workforce development program that its organizers believe directly impacts Indy's youth. Applications for the school's May classes are now being accepted. (FOX 59 Indianapolis)
  3. A serial robbery suspect had been on GPS monitoring, according to police. 24-year-old Donta Allen, who was charged in a series of armed robberies around Indianapolis from Mar. 25 to Apr. 8, was on home detention and tampered with the electronic monitoring device. Allen, along with 29-year-old Lance McGee, was arrested following a robbery at the GameStop located at 6905 S. Emerson Ave. (Fox 59)
