Here are the top three stories today in Indianapolis:

  1. An Indianapolis man will soon travel to Poland to cook for Ukrainian refugees. Brian Rund will be working 12-hour shifts with a group of chefs at World Central Kitchen, an organization that sets up shop wherever there is a need. "We complain about high gas prices, and Ukrainians are getting hauled off and shot in the streets," Rund said. "I wanted to put my money where my mouth is and actually do something." (WTHR)
  2. We're two years away from a total solar eclipse, and Indianapolis is projected to be directly in its path. The eclipse will be visible in Indy at 3:06 p.m. on Apr. 8, 2024, for 3 minutes and 46 seconds. Click the link to learn more about the natural phenomenon. (FOX 59 Indianapolis)
  3. An east-side school bus stop sign was moved off a busy street and into an apartment complex. The change comes after the death of 7-year-old Sevion Sanford, who was fatally struck while waiting for his bus on the corner of Yorkshire Court and 21st Street. According to police, Sanford was hit by at least two vehicles, and they are still looking for the second driver. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Indianapolis Police Department.
