Christmas tree disposal sites open across Indianapolis (fox59.com) — Indianapolis and Marion County residents can drop off real Christmas trees at seven city-run sites from Dec. 25 through Jan. 31, from dusk until dawn. All decorations must be removed, and officials warn that dumping trees elsewhere counts as illegal dumping and can bring fines up to $3,000.

Deadly hit-and-run on Indy's west side prompts calls for safety improvements (wrtv.com) — A woman was killed in a hit-and-run Friday morning on Indianapolis’ west side near North Girls School and Rockville roads, renewing urgent calls for sidewalks and safer streets. Court documents describe how the pair allegedly drove the victim from Indianapolis, left him in the vehicle, and later admitted involvement after video evidence supported investigators’ timeline.
