Here are the top three stories today in Indianapolis:
- One person is critically injured after a shooting that took place on Wednesday (Apr. 20) evening. At about 6:16 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 9300 block of Meadowlark Drive in northeast Indianapolis. Police are still investigating the shooting. (CBS 4 Indianapolis)
- A man is in serious condition after being run over by a truck thief in Greenwood. When a thief attempted to steal the man's truck, the man hopped onto the driver's door and clutched to the pickup as it sped away. The man was dragged and then run over by the truck, and the driver crashed a short time later. Learn more about the incident at the link. (FOX 59 Indianapolis)
- Drugs and counterfeit items abound in Indy, according to customs officers. 738 shipments of ketamine, cannabis and other illicit substances have been seized by Indianapolis customs officers in the past six months. Additionally, the officers have intercepted more than $41.6 million of counterfeit merchandise in the same time span. The spike in seizures is similar to that seen by customs officers in Cincinnati and Louisville. (WTHR)
