Squared Circle Expo 2022: At First Glance

The Squared Circle Expo returns April 15-16 in Indy. It promises to be another awesome celebration of wrestling.

The Squared Circle Expo 2022 is more than eight months away, but it's not too soon to start planning your weekend there. Actually, now is the best time, since VIP passes are already 50% sold even though they went on sale only two weeks ago.

The Squared Circle Expo debuted in Indianapolis last July, featuring about 50 wrestling legends and current stars, along with vendors, panels, contests and even live wrestling. It was the best debut of any such convention I have attended. Furthermore, it ranked as one of the best ever with or without the “debut” qualifier.

SCE II is being held Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16. Once again, the SCE II will be held at the Wyndham in Indianapolis. As previously mentioned, tickets are already on sale and a few guests have been announced.

First up is FTR, appearing courtesy of Prestige Management. Cash Wheeler and Dax Hardwood started in WWE's NXT as The Mechanics and then became The Revival. They are the first Tag Team Triple Crown Champions (Raw, SmackDown and NXT). As FTR, they currently wrestle for All Elite Wrestling, where they briefly held the Tag Team titles.

The next guest announcement was another tag team. Also appearing courtesy of Prestige Management, Santana and Ortiz are one of the most successful teams today.

Debuting on the indy scene in 2012, they won several tag titles before joining Impact in 2017. After joining LAX, they won the Impact Tag Team titles a record four times. In 2019, they joined AEW as part of The Inner Circle, Chris Jericho's stable.

Eight months away and only two weeks into announcements and we already have two fantastic tag teams in the guest lineup. This is another example of what makes SCE special. It is very rare to have guests announced so far in advance.

I had a blast at SCE 2021 and already circled the dates on my calendar for SCE 2022. I will be “On the Beat” covering it, but I will also be enjoying it as a big fan. I look forward to the continued stream of announcements from the fine folks at SCE. As they make announcements, I will be reporting here. Get your tickets now and stay tuned for a lot of wrestling fun!
