(wbiw.com) — Mitchell officials are detailing a plan to house about 90 seasonal migrant farm workers in a former church at Frank and Fourth streets, ahead of a public hearing on Thursday, Dec. 18. City leaders say no zoning change is needed, state housing rules will apply, and similar projects in other Indiana towns brought business to local shops while causing few problems.
   

• Obituary: Everett Eugene Wagner (wbiw.com) — Family and friends in Mitchell will note that Everett Wagner married Susan Hall there in 1974, and he is now being remembered after passing at age 73. The longtime Bedford resident, church member, and former GM journeyman leaves behind his wife, son, and grandchildren. Visitation is set for Thursday, December 18, at Ferguson-Lee Chapel in Bedford.
