• Police Log: December 9, 2025 (wbiw.com) — Local police and emergency crews handled a busy stretch of calls in and around Mitchell on December 8 and 9, including alarms at the Shell station on State Road 37 and multiple medical runs on State Road 60 East. Officers also responded to domestic disputes, traffic stops on Yockey Road and Teke Burton Drive, and a theft report at Persimmon Park Apartments.
   

• Obituary: Donald ‘Don' Frazier (wbiw.com) — Family and friends in Mitchell will note that Don Frazier’s nephew and caretaker, Kevin Frazier, lives in Mitchell, tying local loved ones to his passing. Don, an 80-year-old Bedford resident and limestone craftsman, died December 6, with services in Bedford and burial in Norman later this week.
