Light on his feet: Self-described nondancer to compete in Riley Hospital for Children ballroom dance competition (youarecurrent.com) — A Noblesville High School graduate and former local resident, Reid Crandall, is stepping far outside his comfort zone to compete in Riley Hospital for Children’s 2026 “Reason to Dance” ballroom fundraiser. Drawing on roots that include buying his first guitar at Noblesville’s former Zinn Music and playing in a touring rock band, he’s now using performance to give back to the hospital that helped his family. 
2. Central Indiana communities provide resources for those needing shelter from extreme cold (wthr.com) — Noblesville Police and Hamilton County’s NobleACT program are stepping up cold-weather patrols and outreach to connect people with warming shelters, trustee offices, and social services before temperatures plunge. Officers aim to get vulnerable residents indoors early and link them with long-term support, while similar efforts in Boone County show a broader regional push to keep people safe in dangerous cold.
3. Armed man accused of stealing gold necklace during Facebook Marketplace sale at Starbucks in Noblesville (fox59.com) — Noblesville police say a Facebook Marketplace meetup at the Clover Road Starbucks turned into an armed robbery, with a gold necklace allegedly stolen at gunpoint and later recovered from a suspect’s car. A 20-year-old Anderson man is now jailed in Hamilton County on multiple felony charges, with a jury trial scheduled for April 2026.
