Watch: Giraffe Escapes Exhibit At Fort Wayne Children's Zoo

Fort Wayne Children's Zoo staff says their youngest giraffe escaped an exhibit Monday. Watch the video.

FORT WAYNE, IN — Staff at Fort Wayne Children's Zoo had quite the exciting Monday as they say one of the zoo's giraffes escaped from her barn. In a Facebook post, Zoo staff says their youngest giraffe, Thabisa, ventured out into a parking lot before realizing it "wasn't that exciting" and went back to her barn. While Thabisa stayed on zoo property, zoo staff says this has never happened with any of their giraffes and they are going to re-evaluate the exhibit.

Thibisa evaded capture for about two hours after making her great escape, but was eventually corralled by zoo staff, according to WANE. The zoo had just opened for the season on Saturday.

WANE shared a video of Thabisa's big adventure on YouTube.
