The funding, part of more than $2.5 million awarded in Senate District 7, will support critical transportation upgrades that town leaders will help shape in the coming months.
   

• Man charged with murder after allegedly shooting father, father's girlfriend and setting Indy house on fire on Thanksgiving (wthr.com) — Whitestown residents should know local police helped pursue a suspect tied to a deadly Thanksgiving shooting and house fire in Indianapolis, where two adults were killed and two small children survived unharmed. The chase, involving Whitestown, Lebanon and state police on I-65, ended with a crash and the suspect hospitalized, now facing multiple murder, robbery and arson charges.
