New Roadway, Roundabouts, Pedestrian Path Planned for Zionsville

Design work is under way on a new thoroughfare in Zionsville that officials say will keep the town connected.

ZIONSVILLE, Ind. -- Growth and development on Zionsville's west side has spurred plans for a thoroughfare that will maintain cohesiveness within the town, whether residents choose to travel by foot or vehicle.

Design has begun on a new roadway segment — known as the North-South Connector — that will connect the intersection of 850 East and Cooper Road with CR 875 East to the north, officials confirmed this week.

Initial plans include roundabouts at 850 East and Cooper Road and Oak Street, as well as CR 875 East and Whitestown Road. The project is also expected to include a 10-foot multi-use path.
