• High school referee collapses, dies during game in Indiana (usatoday.com) — A longtime Indiana referee beloved in Zionsville youth football, known to many kids as “Jeff the Ref,” died Friday night after collapsing during a girls’ varsity basketball game. Friends from Zionsville leagues and across central Indiana are remembering his calm presence, kid-first attitude, and decades of work in youth and high school sports.
