• Beloved Youth Sports Referee Dies on Court During Basketball Game: ‘He Truly Died Doing What He Loved' (people.com) — Youth sports families in Zionsville may recognize longtime referee Jeff “Jeff the Ref” Tamarri, who spent decades officiating games from Grand Park to Zionsville and Danville. The 63-year-old collapsed during a girls’ high school basketball game at Monrovia High School on Dec. 12 and later died, leaving many young athletes and fellow officials across Central Indiana grieving his loss.
