American Legion Celebrates July 4th Grand Opening

The American Legion Post on Downtown Main Street will celebrate its renovation with a grand opening July 4.

After five months of extensive remodeling the is ready to celebrate. And there is no better time than July 4th, said Post Commander Jim Demarest.

The celebration of the new building takes place 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday with an open house of the remodeled building at 225 Main Street.

“Rebuilding the physical foundation of the Legion Family’s post was expensive, but important,” Demarest said. People can drop in to learn more about the American Legion Post 37, enjoy refreshments, food, fun and find a seat for the parade, which begins at 11 a.m.
