• Construction ongoing at Ames' Schainker Plaza, no opening date set (amestrib.com) — Schainker Plaza, the new public space across from Ames City Hall, is still under construction with no opening date set, largely due to problems with its ice skating rink concrete. City staff and contractors agree the rink surface must be fixed, and an independent expert also deemed it unacceptable, leaving the city waiting on a final solution and completion timeline.
