Ames Man Involved in Story County Accident

Two Story County residents, including one Ames man, were injured in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 69 Friday evening, the Story County Sheriff reported.

Jessica Lowe, of Story City, was headed east on 130^th Street about 6:37 p.m. Friday and stopped at the intersection with U.S. Highway 69 and drove into the intersection, the Story County Sheriff report said. Lee Rasmussen, of Ames, was heading south on Highway 69 and struck Lowe's vehicle, the report said.

Both Lowe and Rasmussen were taken to Mary Greeley Medical Center for non-incapacitating injuries. Lowe was cited for failing to yield upon entering a highway, the report said.
