Ames School Board Hopes to Move Forward on Architect Tonight
The meeting beings at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Ames High School.

The Ames Community School Board spent an evening interviewing six firms interested in designing new elementary buildings and renovations last week. Tonight, Monday, the board hopes to make a decision on who to hire.
BCDM, of Omaha/, of Ames; DLR Group, of Des Moines; OPN Architects, of Des Moines; , of Ames; StruXture Architects, of West Des Moines; and SVPA Architects, Inc. of West Des Moines were all considered.
Board president Dan Woodin has said he hoped the board would be able to make a decision on who to hire at tonight's meeting.

The community approved in referendum to fun construction and renovations for five elementary schools in the district.
 will be replaced with a new three-section building on Miller Avenue and it's expected that it will be built first.  and  elementary schools will be replaced on site and  and  elementary schools will be renovated.
