Ames School Board Sifts Through Architects Proposals for New Schools

Board hopes to pick an architect for Ames Community School District by June.

 

The will begin narrowing the list of architects who are interested in designing new elementary schools in Ames.

The Ames Community School Board meets tonight at 7 p.m. at the . They will discuss 15 architect proposals during a work session and Board President Dan Woodin said they hope to reach a consensus on which architects the board will bring to its May 29 meeting for face-to-face interviews.

The community approved in April a plan to build and renovate five elementary schools in the district.
