Ames residents can expect a cooler week with highs in the mid 80s throughout the week, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service.
Monday a high of 84 degrees is expected. The high will slightly rise throughout the week to a high of 88 on Friday and 89 on Sunday. So far no rain is in this week's forecast.
