Ames Weekend Weather
It appears that Ames weather might cooperate allowing a good viewing of the perseids meteor shower.
The National Weather Service predicts temperatures in the 70s through the weekend and a sunny clear day on Saturday.
That's the night that Ames residents should have the best chances to see the meteor shower. From Saturday night into Sunday morning there's a chance of showers after 1 a.m. Sunday.
Friday night is expected to be clear. Sunday there is a 40 percent chance of rain.Â
