Kimberly Hanna was formerly the Market Coordinator at Midtown Global Market (MGM), a public market located in Minneapolis, Minnesota that held 53 small businesses in a rehabilitated historic Sears and Roebuck building. While there, she worked diligently to promote the independently owned small businesses including restaurants, grocery markets and retail shops. The Global Market was an incubator for small business owners and the owners hailed from North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Before her work at MGM, she lived in Boston, Massachusetts for Historic Boston Incorporated, a historic preservation focused non-profit specializing in technical assistance and funding for Boston commercial buildings and historic houses of worship. As part of her work to make MGM a destination in Minneapolis, Kimberly served as the Market spokesperson, coordinated marketing and promotions of the Market, and utilized social media to bring in new customers as well as retain the loyal customer base.
A 2000 graduate of Nevada High School, Ms. Hanna graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master’s degree in preservation studies from Boston University.
