To continue discussions and create learning opportunities for energy efficiency within the Ames business community, the Business Energy Efficiency Group, in conjunction with Ames Electric Services, welcomes the public to its first quarterly Lunch ‘N’ Learn.
The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 6 at the , 515 Douglas Ave. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch. Drinks and dessert will be provided.
Bob Lehman, Director of Engineering at the Gateway Hotel and Conference Center, will talk about the energy-saving efforts emphasized by behavior change, as well as technology which saved the hotel several thousand dollars over the last few years.
In addition to the keynote speaker, the event will include roundtable discussions on Business Energy Audits, behavior changes that reduce electrical use, business energy kits, and the City of Ames Smart Energy Rebate Program.
“We have developed this educational opportunity with busy schedules in mind,” said Steve Wilson, Energy Services Coordinator. “We are providing relevant and helpful information that can have an impact on lowering utility bills and cutting costs.”
