Northminster Presbyterian Church's Wednesday afterschool Program (NOW) older children prepared and delivered Birthday Bags to Bethesda Lutheran Church's Food Pantry. Â The bags contain ingredients for a birthday party, a church brochure and a colored picture with the words, "God Loves You." Â Â Volunteers from Northminster (1416 20th St. Ames, phone 233-2540) staff the food pantry on Wednesday and distribute the Birthday Bags to guest families children having birthdays during the month. Â The NOW program, with programming from 2:15 to 5:45 p.m., Â is open to any Ames Community School District child in grades K-5.
