AMES, Iowa – The Union Pacific Railroad has scheduled rail replacement of railroad track in Downtown Ames on Thursday.  The Clark Avenue and Kellogg Avenue railroad crossings will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to facilitate the repairs.Â
There will be no vehicle access across the railroad tracks during this project. Vehicles should detour to Grand Avenue or Duff Avenue.Â
