RED CROSS LIFEGUARD TRAINING

Ames Parks and Recreation is offering 2012 Red Cross Lifeguard Training. Participants successfully completing the course will be Red Cross certified in lifeguarding, first aid, CPR and AED. Multiple classes are offered March 12-15 12:00 pm-8:00 pm; March 16 -18 8:00 am-6:30 pm, March 23-25 (F: 5:00 pm-9:00 pm, SA & SU: 8:00 am-6:30 pm), April 13-15 (F: 5:00 pm-9:00 pm, SA & SU: 8:00 am-6:30 pm), and April 21-May12 (SA: 1:00 pm-9:00 pm). Participants must be at least 15 years of age, consecutively swim 300 yards and retrieve a brick from the deep end to qualify. Course attendance to all days is a must to receive lifeguard certifications. Registration fee is $165 ($190 for Non-Residents) which includes materials on a flash drive. Participant manuals are available for an additional $35. Space is limited, so register now!
