CITY OF AMES

Be just like the major leaguers by getting a jump on the regular baseball season and going to Spring Training! Ames Parks and Recreation is conducting a spring training baseball clinic for 7-10 year olds. Eric Bappe, Ames High School Varsity Baseball Coach, will coordinate the fundamentals while the Ames High varsity players provide instruction through fun drills and station work. The Cactus League is for 7 & 8 year olds and will be held at 9:00 AM, while the Grapefruit League is for 9 & 10 year olds and will be held at 10:00 AM. The fee is $50 for residents and $65 for non-residents. To register, stop by the Parks and Recreation Office, 1500 Gateway Hills Parks Dr., or the Community Center, 5th and Clark.
