Architect Death Delays Ames Public Library Renewal Design Presentation

An architect leading a design project for the Ames Public Library died unexpectedly delaying the project.

Thursday's design presentation of the Renewal project was canceled due to the death of the lead architect.

Ames Public Library staff learned Wednesday that Aaron Taylor, of Meyer Scherer & Rockcastle, had died suddenly. He would have led the presentation at Thursday's Board of Trustees meeting.

Meyer, Scherer & Rockcastle said in a memo to the board that Taylor joined the Minneapolis firm in December of 2011.
