Works of art will be shrouded in black today to mark A Day Without Art, a national day of action and mourning in response to the AIDS crisis.Â
"Shrouded works of art from the Art on Campus Collection will act as a reminder to the campus community to vow an end to AIDS and HIV," a release stated.
Covered works will include sculptures in the Elizabeth and Byron Anderson Sculpture Garden, Mujer Pagada inside Morrill Hall, several sculptures inside the Library, all of the sculptures at the Gerdin Business Building, the Zodiac and Fountain of the Four Seasons at the Memorial Union, Marriage Ring and Joy fountain at MacKay Hall, Tulipat Horticulture Hall, sculptures in the Lagomarcino Hall courtyard, and others. These works of art will be un-shrouded Dec. 2.
