Early Trick-or-Treat Night Provides Safe Location for Little Ghosts and Goblins

Breezy Bay Campground at Hickory Grove Park will host a "Beggars' Night" on Saturday, October 8, for an evening of safe trick-or-treating. Campers will hand out candy to costumed kiddos from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Story County Conservation's Hickory Grove Park is located southwest of Colo (67382 250th Street.)  Participants can travel south of Highway 30 on 680th Avenue and follow the signs to the park entrance. There is no registration or fee to attend; campers who hand out candy will receive a complimentary night's camping (October 8 only).

 Get your costumes ready early and head to the park for some fun! The figure-8 driveway at Breezy Bay campground will provide a safe place for families to trick-or-treat without worrying about speeding traffic.  All trick-or-treaters should be accompanied by an adult.  Parking will be available at the boat ramp or beach parking areas.
