The newly formed FIRST Robotics #3928 Team Neutrino will unveil its first robot at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Ames High Auditorium.Â
The team, in its rookie season, had six weeks to build a 5 foot robot weighing 120 pounds for FIRST: For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. FIRST aims to inspire and motivate students to pursue education and careers in science, technology, engineering, and math through robotic competition. Ames team is attending the Midwest Regional in Chicago, IL. This regional starts March 22 and is three days long. Teams that place in Regional Competitions attend the International Championship, hosted in St. Louis, MO.
