O.W.L.S. TOPIC FEATURES Red-shouldered Hawks Along the Mississippi
 Story County Conservation invites the public to the monthly O.W.L.S. (Older, Wiser, Livelier Seniors) program at the Story County Conservation Center at McFarland Park (56461 180th Street) northeast of Ames. "Red-shouldered Hawks Along the Mississippi" will be presented on Tuesday, March 6, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Northeastern Iowa is known for its natural beauty. Join Jon W. Stravers as he shares some of his research on Red-shouldered Hawks and Cerulean Warblers near the Mississippi River in Northeast Iowa.

O.W.L.S. programs are designed for "boomers" or older – but anyone can attend. An optional luncheon follows the program at 12 noon. Lunch is catered for a $7.00 fee, and registration is required for lunch by 4 p.m., Friday, March 2. The planned lunch menu for March is oven-baked chicken, parsley potatoes, peas, roll, and cherry crisp.
