Park Festival Features Free Music, Food, And Fun

From Story County Conservation:

Story County Conservation Partners Fall Festival will be held Sunday, Oct. 2, from 3-6 p.m. at McFarland Park (56461 180th Street) northeast of Ames.  This free public event features music, activities for children, and a free-will donation barbecue. 

People of all ages will enjoy the music of "The Home Grown Tomatoes" with their organic music mix. The event also boasts children's crafts and activities.  The barbecue features hamburgers and hotdogs, chips, and refreshments. Free-will donations will be accepted.

This festival is an excellent opportunity to visit McFarland Park, enjoy great music, and learn more about Story County Conservation Partners and the important things they do for conservation in Story County.  Best of all, the event is free and fun for everyone! 

The festival will be held rain or shine; bring your blankets and lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the day!  Beer and wine are allowed in the park.  Pets must be on kept on leashes at all times.

Story County Conservation couldn't host events like this without the help of volunteers, and there are still tasks available for willing volunteers.
