Family Fun Night Features Music, Games & Chow
AMES, Iowa – The Ames Middle School Booster Club for Academics, Arts, and Athletics invites the community to attend the first-ever Ames Middle School Pizza Palooza fund-raising event on Thursday, Feb. 23, at Ames Middle School, 3915 Mortensen Road. This exciting evening of food and fun will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Families are encouraged to attend with their students and enjoy live music, a game show competition, and a variety of entertainment options. The new AMS Pizza Palooza replaces the annual Chili Chowdown event.

“We are planning Pizza Palooza with families in mind to create fun for all ages. Not only will this event be awesome for middle schoolers, we invite fifth graders to come out and experience their future school,” said Megan Woodbeck, AMS Middle School PTO president.

The menu includes cheese and meat pizza, cookies, and beverage available for purchase. Admission is $1 per person. AMS Pizza Palooza includes a silent auction with packages and gift baskets donated from sixth, seventh and eighth grade classrooms. Entertainment will feature students from Ames Middle School and Ames High School. Activities include a students versus teachers basketball game, “Minute to Win It” game show competition, Wii and Play Station tournaments, and a “Battle of the Bands” in the AMS auditorium. Professionals from The Salon will be providing fun, outrageous, and crazy hair for $1 donations.
“We’re really excited by all the support we’ve received so far for this year’s event. Our volunteers are going all out to make sure Pizza Palooza is a great night,” Woodbeck added.
