Retail Where Have You Gone?

“Retail Viability in Ames: Where have all the stores gone?” will be the topic of the January 19, 7:00 p.m.

meeting of the Ames League of Women Voters at Northminster Presbyterian Church 1416 20^th Street.

A timely topic in light of the recent news that there may be some growth in the North Grand Mall. The program will feature two speakers with strong credentials in retail trade and economics.

ISU Professor of Economics Peter Orazem, member of the Ames City Council and Ames Convention and Visitors Board, specializes in labor market study. Liesl Eathington, coordinator of the ISU Regional Economics and Community Analysis Program, studies retail trade and economic and demographic data of Iowa communities.

The public is invited to the event and in the discussion which will follow the presentations.
