
University Museums’ 4th Annual Brunnier in Bloom
Opening Event and Weekend Showcase
Ames, IA – Brunnier in Bloom, the University Museums’ annual pairing of beautiful art and fabulous flowers will showcase the talents of Ames-area floral designers and garden clubs as they are challenged to create arrangements inspired by works of art currently on exhibition in the Brunnier Art Museum.
Opening night will consist of the judges announcing this year’s winners, listening to live music by Clayton Severson, enjoying light refreshments featuring cupcakes by , and mingling with the floral designers. Judges for this year’s event are: Janet Leath, first lady of ISU; Deb Lewis, curator of the Ada Hayden Herbarium; and Letitia Kennemer, coordinator of the Memorial Union Art Collection.
The opening night event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, in the Brunnier Art Museum, 295 Scheman Bldg., Iowa State Center.
If you can't make that visit the museum from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 24 and March 25 to vote for People's Choice award and participate in a raffle. All proceeds go to supporting Brunnier in Bloom and University Museums’ educational programming.
Both opening night and the weekend showcases are free and open to the public.
