Harrison Barnes and Royce White Await NBA Draft
Locals Harrison Barnes and Royce White expected to be first round NBA Draft picks.

Ames residents have more than one reason to watch the NBA Draft tonight. 's Harrison Barnes and Cyclone Royce White are both expected to be named to a pro team tonight.
Barnes, who graduated from Ames High in 2010, is ranked among the top five. Some mock drafts, like this one on CNN, place him at No. 4. The Bleacher report puts him at about No. 7.
White will fall farther down the list. He has reportedly turned down invitations to work out with some NBA teams and interviews, fueling rumors that the Boston Celtics had in fact promised to choose him. Bleacher puts him at No. 22. and CNN at No. 21.

Scott Christopherson, also of the Iowa State University Cyclones, said earlier this year that he also had hoped to be selected in the draft. He out with the Minnesota Timberwolves in May.
The NBA Draft will be broadcast on ESPN and ESPN3 starting at 6:30 p.m. central time.
