Good Luck Kyle Anderson and Cory Morrissey in the Iowa-Iowa State Game
Anderson from Ames High School and Morrissey from Gilbert High School could face each other in the Iowa-Iowa State game Saturday in Iowa City.
If Ames and Gilbert residents weren't already rooting for an or Iowa win Saturday they have at least two more reasons to pick sides.
Kyle Anderson, a local graduate of and freshman at the University of Iowa, is a quarterback for the Hawkeyes.
And Cory Morrissey, an Iowa State University sophomore, from Gilbert High School, is a defensive end for the Cyclones.

Anderson told the Ames Tribune, after deciding to walk on the team, that he spent his whole life cheering for the Cyclones.
“It’s funny because my whole life I’ve been a Cyclones fan, but now I’m switching over,” Anderson said to the Tribune. “I’ll have to work on my family next.”
Anderson took over at starting quarterback for Ames High School midway through the 2009 season.

Anderson didn't intend to play last season to extend his college eligibilty.
Both the Cyclones and the Hawkeyes won their season openers so they head into the game 1-0.
