ISU Names New Leadership

Iowa State University decided on its new provost Tuesday.

's College of Engineering Dean, Jonathan Wickert, will become the school's next vice president and provost the University announced Tuesday.

New ISU President Steve Leath picked Wickert, but the Board of Regents will have to approve the decision. Wickert plans to start his new job July 30 and the College of Engineering will search for a new dean.

The current Provost announced in February that she would leave her post. Hoffman plans to help Wickert assume his new role, a release from the University stated. Wickert was one of named in the national search to replace Hoffman.
