ISU Police Found Woman's Body in Frederiksen Court After Welfare Check

Iowa State University police said Wednesday morning that they had no new information about the death of a woman who was found in Frederiksen Court Tuesday. Frederiksen Court is a university housing complex.

Iowa State University police said the have no new information to offer about the discovery of a woman's body found in a Frederiksen Court apartment 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The woman was visiting from Korea and was participating in an academic program, a release from the ISU news service said.

University police keyed into the apartment Tuesday after being asked to do a welfare check and found her body hanging in the apartment, a release from the University said. No one else was there at the time.

The Division of Criminal Investigation and the state crime lab is assisting in the investigation, the release said.
