ISU Solar Car Team Finishes in What Place
Hyperion finished the American Solar Car Challenge in a better position than any previous team at Iowa State University.
Team PrISUm's solar car, Hyperion, came in second place in an eight day race from New York to Minnesota, Iowa State News Service reports.
It was 's best finish in the American Solar Car Challenge's history.
Hyperion actually crossed the final finish line in fourth place on Saturday, but retained second place overall.

“This is Team PrISUm’s best finish yet. We are all extremely proud of the work we’ve put into the car and that we’ve come such a long way in a short time,” said Evan Stumpges, the team’s project director and a May graduate in mechanical engineering, in an ISU News Service press release.
