Marshalltown Man Faces Forgery Charge in Ames

A Marshalltown man was arrested on a forgery charge this week for an alleged incident that took place in June 2011 and more in this week's blotter.

A 40-year-old Marshalltown man was charged with forgery in Ames this week for an incident that took place in June 2011.

Jason Lowell is accused of cashing a fake check for $554 at using his Iowa driver's license on June, 13, 2011, according to criminal complaints at the Ames Police Department.

After cashing a fake check from J&R Cleaning, complaints said he went outside and gave some of the money to a Des Moines man who allegedly created the check. The Des Moines man has not been charged in the case, said Sgt. Rory Echer of the Ames Police Department.

Lowell is being held in the Story County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

Clinton Honn, 20, Ames, was charged with public intoxication and minor on the premises at 12:41 a.m.

Terrence Lowe, 24, Lincoln Swing, was charged with interference with official acts and public intoxication at 1:50 a.m.

Johnon Thomas, 25, Regency Court, was charged with domestic assault at 2 a.m.

Rachel Williams, 20, Woodland Street, was charged with second-degree harassment at 8:29 p.m.

June 3

Cody Jones, 18, Grand Avenue was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 8 p.m.

Jason Lowell, 40, Marshalltown, was charged with forgery at 11 a.m.

Benjamin McCasland, 19, Slater, was charged with drug paraphernalia at 9:30 p.m.

Michele Prochaska, 31, Aspen Drive, was charged with public intoxication at 1:58 a.m.

Terry Stromley, 48, Carroll Avenue was charged with trespassing at 12:53 a.m.

June 4

Bona Lueth, 39, South 16th Street, was charged with harassment of a public officer and driving while revoked at 11:31 p.m.
